MARC JACOBS MATTE
HIGHLINER GEL EYE CRAYON
Hello my lovelies!
How many of you are still looking out for those perfect long lasting coloured eye pencils?
Well look no further, if budget isn’t an issue, just hear my story.
A few weeks ago I received my Marc Jacobs Vox Box from influenster containing two of their most popular Highliner matte gel eye crayons.
I received two colours, no 59 “Pink of me ” and no 57 “Deja blue” , from their matte set that has 12 shades. The other set is a satin gel finish that consists of 26 shades.
Now considering that light/ nude eye pencils have been my go to lately and you can clearly see me sporting that “easy to achieve” eye makeup in most of my youtube makeup tutorials and I found these two to be those perfect colours to brighten up your eyes on application to the waterline. For example, here is my everyday natural makeup tutorial
They applied like a dream and were richly pigmented and creamy. Post application and less than a minute this just stays put and refuses to budge. It does claim to be waterproof after all.
These light colours did not tug my water line on application and actually , the pink and the blue did not come across too stark and is quiet subtle , providing a wide awake look, which I am currently obsessed with.
[no 57 “Deja blue”]
Now, I have heard from many beauty bloggers about the staying power of these beauties and the creamy pigmentation and all I can say is, I am not disappointed!
The packaging itself is sleek with its silver metallic body with an easy to grip section and its retractable element just makes it easier to twist up from the bottom of the pencil and use. Plus it has a built in sharpner to create that perfect point. Hello awesomeness!
Considering the colours given to me for review purposes are not the ones I would reach out for, never the less, I am amazed that these eye pencils lived up to the hype as I always wanted to try them out and I would highly recommend them, if you wanted a fancy high end yet an amazing gel eye pencil.
These bad girls cost £20.00 each.
