I love Instagram. It is a place where you get to interact with a lot of talented entrepreneurs and it gives me great pleasure to showcase each ones hardwork , in the form of a product they sell, on my insta stories.

So when the team of Sheshabeauty (I have a sneaky feeling that the talented blogger and owner, Renji Anooj was behind that message too) got in touch via instagram asking me to review their product, I agreed.

Now, if you have followed me on youtube for a while, you would have known that I completely gave up on buying store bought shampoo which is infused with chemicals and started making a herbal one at home. I have a whole video on it and it explains why I dared to go there and also you can see the positive effects of using a shampoo with no parabens or sulphate, on my mothers hair.

On receiving three of their fastest selling items through Nykaa , I was eager to make a switch from my diy to this beauty. Four words, It blew me away!

First of all what makes this brand a winner is that their products are 100% natural, cruelty free, free from parabens (as mentioned), silicones, petroleum, derivatives, artificial colour and fragrance.

Now, let me break it down for you.

Ashthapathy Deva Thali Shampoo

This one is a gentle cleanser that is enriched with the goodness of Hibiscus, Shikakai, pure coconut oil as its base and Henna. The marvellous four gives your hair the needed volume, gently cleanses your scalp with out stripping away the moisture from your strand, tackles premature greying, split ends, damaged hair and most importantly, dandruff. Isn’t that a dream?

The packaging is impressive with its easy to flip open lid, plastic tube and that makes it very travel friendly. Here is the thing that won my heart, Though it claims to have no artificial fragrance infused, it has a kerala ayurveda spa kind of a smell on opening the shampoo .

The essential oils definitely comes through strong. Heaven! It has a clear gel kind of a consistency and for a herbal shampoo, boy does this lather up good. It is very gentle and can be used as an everyday hair cleanser.

It definitely didn’t dry up my hair, But, I usually wear a hair mask on the strands every time I use a shampoo, irrespective of the product or brand and I hope one day, sheshabeauty will come out with their own conditioner.  But, I did notice to strip away all the oil from my scalp and strands properly I had to apply the shampoo twice. Post that, my hair felt clean and soft.

The quality you are getting for the sheer cost of INR 125 for 100 ML is amazing and I am truly impressed. Don’t forget, this is free from chemicals. You can get it here

I thought of the soap “medimix” when I held the ashtapathy leaf bar and got hit by its fragrance.

With the nourishing goodness of Betel leaves included in it, this natural cleanser removes the impurities from your hair and yet, does not mess with the moisture balance. Plus, it is great for treating dandruff and dry hair too.

Now, the amazing part is that you can apply this soap to your skin as well. Trust me, it did not irritate the skin or make it dry. It just beautifully moisturised  my body skin making it smooth and soft.

Presently I have been using it only for my skin since it is an all purpose soap.

Cost | INR 70 for 100 gm You can get it here

The purest form of coconut oil is in its first cold pressed form which is extracted from the coconut milk obtained straight from the source and is free from chemicals. There is a stark difference between the normal oil and the extra virgin one and the health benefits of that are plenty. You can watch my top 8 points of using pure coconut oil for its healing purposes, here

I used this oil for my hair, body and even to take care of my teeth (oil pulling which is explained in the video) and this oil in particular is great for babies as well. This oil is edible too.

Do stay tuned for my youtube video where I will be showing you all how to make the best hair oil and stop hair fall, using this product.

For INR 299 for 200 ML, this is the purest form of coconut oil you can get your hands on. It is beautifully packaged, a plastic bottle that is sealed in tight which makes it travel friendly and is filled with antioxidants and vitamins (think vitamin a,e and anti bacterial), thus giving the oil its fabulous reputation of being classified under the “Superfoods” category.

You can get it here.

Sheshabeauty is the brainchild of an ex amazon India software engineer who hails from a family of doctors and naturopaths. Their knowledge on herbal, natural and ayurvedic products are  extensive and one can blindly trust this brand that is safe and made in Gods own country, Kerala.

I do suggest the shiro samraksha combo pack consisting the above three for INR 470 and it is great for children above the age of five, as well.
